At HobbyFi, we're building a community where hobby enthusiasts can connect, learn, and grow together. These Community Guidelines outline the behaviors and standards we expect from all members of our community, including users, vendors, and staff. By using the HobbyFi platform, you agree to follow these guidelines.

USER EXPECTATIONS
Be Respectful
- Communicate courteously with vendors and other users
- Respect different skill levels and learning paces
- Value cultural differences and perspectives
- Avoid disruptive behavior during sessions
Be Reliable
- Honor your bookings and arrive on time
- Cancel with adequate notice if you cannot attend
- Follow venue and activity-specific rules
- Provide honest and constructive feedback
Be Supportive
- Encourage fellow participants
- Offer help to newcomers when appropriate
- Share your knowledge in a positive manner
- Celebrate others' achievements and progress
Maintain Safety
- Follow all safety instructions provided by vendors
- Use appropriate protective equipment when required
- Report unsafe conditions or behaviors
- Consider the well-being of all participants
PROHIBITED BEHAVIORS
The following behaviors are not tolerated on our platform:
Harassment and Discrimination
- Bullying, intimidation, or threatening behavior
- Discriminatory comments or actions based on race, gender, age, religion, sexual orientation, disability, or any other characteristic
- Unwanted attention or inappropriate advances
- Hate speech or derogatory language
Dishonest Practices
- Creating fake accounts or false reviews
- Misrepresenting your identity or skills
- Attempting to circumvent our platform to avoid fees
- Engaging in any form of fraud or scam
Disruptive Behavior
- Intentionally disrupting sessions
- Repeatedly cancelling bookings at the last minute
- Showing up intoxicated or under the influence
- Excessive complaints without valid reasons
Unsafe Activities
- Encouraging dangerous practices
- Ignoring safety guidelines
- Bringing unauthorized equipment or substances
- Endangering yourself or others
COMMUNICATION GUIDELINES
In-App Messaging
- Keep communications relevant to the hobby or session
- Avoid sharing personal contact information before meeting
- Report inappropriate messages to HobbyFi
- Don't use our messaging system for promotional or commercial purposes unrelated to the platform
Reviews and Feedback
- Provide honest, constructive feedback based on your experience
- Focus comments on the session quality, not personal characteristics
- Back up your opinions with specific examples
- Be open to dialogue if a vendor responds to your review
Social Interaction
- Respect personal boundaries
- Obtain consent before taking or sharing photos of others
- Keep group chats and discussions inclusive
- Report any concerning behavior to session hosts and HobbyFi
CONSEQUENCES OF VIOLATIONS
Violations of these guidelines may result in:
For Minor Violations
- A warning notification
- Temporary limitations on certain features
- Required review of guidelines before next booking
For Serious or Repeated Violations
- Temporary suspension from the platform
- Permanent ban in extreme cases
- Cancellation of upcoming bookings
- Removal of reviews or content
Appeal Process
If you believe action has been taken against your account in error, you may appeal by contacting our support team at support@hobbyfi.in with the subject line "Community Guidelines Appeal."
REPORTING CONCERNS
If you witness behavior that violates these guidelines:
- During a Session: Alert the vendor or session leader immediately.
- On the Platform: Use the "Report" feature available throughout the app.
- After a Session: Include details in your review or contact support directly.
We take all reports seriously and will investigate promptly while maintaining confidentiality.
VENDOR-SPECIFIC GUIDELINES
While vendors have their own dedicated guidelines in the partner portal, users should be aware that vendors are expected to:
- Provide accurate descriptions of sessions and requirements
- Maintain clean, safe, and accessible facilities
- Treat all participants with respect and professionalism
- Honor bookings and provide adequate notice for cancellations
- Implement appropriate safety measures for their activity
CHANGES TO GUIDELINES
These guidelines may be updated periodically. Significant changes will be communicated through email and in-app notifications. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated guidelines.
